Over 300 workers from Manitoba’s largest drug manufacturer came together last Friday to build 25 garden sheds for 2008/2009 Habitat for Humanity homeowners.
The “Supreme Makeover Shed Edition” occupied the Rainbow Stage parking lot at Kildonan Park, as volunteers worked tirelessly to craft the structures. According to Habitat, the shed-building event required the same amount of construction materials used to build a house.
The sheds will be used to store rakes, mowers, shovels and other valuables, as Habitat homes do not have garages.
