More than 1.5 Million Inquiries to 311

City of WinnipegNew numbers from the City of Winnipeg today show that since its January 2009 debut, the 311 service has handled more than 1.5 million inquiries. 1,508,109 calls and 34,512 e-mails to be exact.

Almost half of those inquiries — 499,674 phone calls and emails — came in between July 1 and September 30.

Among the most frequent information requested; transit schedules and golf tee time bookings.

The next quarterly report from 311 will come out in January 2010.
