Manitoba Bisons Dealt a Pair of Weekend Losses

The University of Manitoba Bisons football team couldn’t get it done on Saturday against the Saskatchewan Huskies. The Brown and Gold came up short, losing 31-11 to the 7th ranked team. With that victory, Saskatchewan moves to 5-1 with winning their last three games. The Bisons hit the road for their next game on Friday, October 23 against the UBC Thunderbirds.

U of M Bisons Basketball

The Manitoba Bisons women’s basketball team kicked off “Breast Cancer Awareness/Prevention Week” on Saturday to help raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Pink uniforms were designated for the team and will later be auctioned off for a minimum bid of $100. Coming off a loss to the Cape Breton Capers on Friday, the Bisons couldn’t charge back last night with a 71-61 loss over the Capers in game two of an exhibition matchup.
