Holiday shoppers will appreciate a special sneak peak this weekend at UNICEF’s 2009 gift collection, featuring toys, clothing, books, collectibles and greeting cards. All merchandise is created by Canadian artists and artisans in developing nations.
There will also be Gifts of Magic — which is a gift that you buy on behalf of someone you care about that provides, in their name, water, food, medicine or school supplies for the world’s most vulnerable children.
The “Gifts that Give Back” shopping weekend runs from 5-9 p.m. tonight at UNICEF’s office at 323-112 Market Avenue, and Saturday from 10-6 p.m.
For those that can’t make it, UNICEF gifts will be on display for purchase starting November 23 at Kildonan Place Shopping Centre.
