17 quilts made especially for Manitoba Homecoming 2010 will be showcased beginning today at the Manitoba Legislative Building.
Using the theme “Celebrating Manitoba,” quilters from all over the province got to work last January to create the fabric masterpieces.
The quilts were judged Thursday and the winner picked up $2,800 and will have their piece displayed at the Manitoba House during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. The winning quilt will also travel the province and make stops at various events throughout next year.
The public can view all 17 of them December 4, 5, and 6 at the legislature.
