Manitoba’s Megan Imrie Competes in First Olympic Event


Women's Biathlon 7.5 km Sprint - Day 2

Megan Imrie of Falcon Lake, Manitoba (above) competed in the women’s biathlon 7.5 km sprint event at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Whistler Saturday. Imrie placed 76th in the event, posting a time of 23 minutes 17 seconds. She competes again next Tuesday in the women’s 10 km pursuit. Anastazia Kuzmina of Slovakia won the Olympic gold medal, Germany’s Magdalena Neuner won silver and Marie Dorin of France won bronze.
