Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir Win Gold in Ice Dance

Figure Skating Ice Dances - Vancouver 2010

Canada’s Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir danced their way to a gold Olympic medal Monday night in ice dance.

The pair from London, Ontario was expected to definitely hit the podium going into the competition.

Canada has never won a gold medal in the event, let alone any North American, but with this win, history was broken to move our medal count to 10.

Meryl Davis and Charlie White of the United States won silver and Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin of the Russian Federation won bronze.
