The Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) is holding Manitoba’s 2010 Social Media Conference today in Winnipeg.
The half-day conference will focus on social media and media in general to see how it’s changing. The keynote speaker for the event is Keith Bilous, founder and president of ICUC Moderation Services. Other speakers sharing their insight on how social media is changing local news include political writer and commentator Curtis Brown, Winnipeg Free Press Legislative reporter Bruce Owen and Glenn Tinley, president of Studio Media Group.
A group of panelists will also talk about how to leverage your social networks, including Corey Quintaine, Kildonan Place Shopping Centre marketing director, and Shel Zolkewich, partner in Jackfish Media Group.
The conference is open to preregistered attendees and takes place at the Fort Garry Hotel beginning at 7:30 a.m.
