‘Kids Who Care’ Founders to be Honoured at Food Bank

Two individuals who created the “Kids Who Care” program will be recognized at an award ceremony Saturday afternoon at Winnipeg Harvest.

Ron and Eunice O’Donovan established the program in 2001 to recognize children and youth who collect food or raise money in the community. Children in the program also volunteer their time sorting and packing food in the Winnipeg Harvest warehouse to help Manitoba families in need.

Lieutenant Governor Philip S. Lee, Mayor Sam Katz and other dignitaries will take part in the ceremony beginning at 2 p.m.
