The University of Manitoba will award diplomas in arts, education, management, dentistry and medical rehabilitation at the 43rd Fall Convocation on Wednesday and Thursday.

Over 1,300 graduands are eligible to receive diplomas this year, which is the fourth highest number of fall grads in the university’s history.

An honorary degree will be handed out to Phil Fontaine on Wednesday, the former National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, and to Bernard Weiner on Thursday, distinguished professor of psychology at UCLA.

Both ceremonies will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the Investors Group Athletic Centre.

Each ceremony will be live streamed at UManitoba.ca.
