Former University of Manitoba Bison women’s soccer player Desiree Scott has been named assistant coach for her old team.
Scott’s five-year Bison career ended last year, but she’s still an active player in the community.
The 23-year-old will join head coach Chris Lewis and the rest of the coaching staff for the 2011 season.
With Scott’s busy schedule, she will assist the Bisons at training sessions during the summer when she returns home from International competition. After the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany from June 26-July 17, the plan is for Scott to join the Bisons on a more permanent basis during the 2011 season.
