The Winnipeg Goldeyes signed a new infielder to their roster over the weekend.

Damon Lessler spent the 2008 season playing for Traverse City of the Frontier League and the 2007 season with Sioux Falls in the American Association.

The 28-year-old batted .194 with 21 RBI and three home runs during that time, but was out of professional baseball for 2009 and 2010.

The club also acquired infielder Louis Ott from the Gary SouthShore RailCats in exchange for cash and a player to be named later.

The Fish wrapped up their homestand with Fargo on Sunday and now travel to Sioux Falls tonight through Thursday, before they head to St. Paul and then Fargo.

Local fans can catch the next home game on Friday, May 27 when the Goldeyes host Gary at Shaw Park.
