A concert celebrating outreach programs in the inner-city will be held tonight at Hugh John MacDonald School.
A team of jazz studies students from the University of Manitoba’s Marcel A. Desautels Faculty of Music will perform in the gymnasium at 6 p.m.
The event is part of the Bridge Program, an outreach initiative of the faculty led by Steve Kirby, which brings music instruction to underserved neighborhoods.
Between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., hot dogs and ice cream, pony rides and other activities will be offered.
Hugh John MacDonald School is located at 576 Bannatyne Avenue.
