The new Sport Medicine Centre is now open to the public at 145 Pacific Avenue.
The 5,226 square-foot centre provides treatment for all ages and any injury, and is outfitted with modern equipment that will support a wide reach of patients.
Physical therapy, massage therapy, nutritional counselling, and sport psychology are just some of the services offered.
The Centre is an important and unique part of completing the final phases of the Sport for Life Centre,” said Jeff Hnatiuk president and CEO of Sport Manitoba. “The Centre will enhance sport development and resources at the community and provincial level.”
The Sport for Life Centre itself, which houses the new facility, will include the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and Museum and the building of a fieldhouse featuring an indoor track, multi-purpose training area, strength and conditioning equipment, and aerobic training facilities once its second phase is complete.
