The monarch butterfly will be celebrated on Sunday at the 4th Annual Monarch Butterfly Festival.
Held at the Living Prairie Museum from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., guided prairie hikes will be provided to educate visitors on butterflies, plants and animals of the tall grass prairie.
Besides hikes, storytelling, butterfly garden workshops and a meet and greet with ‘butterfly scientists’ will be held. The always popular butterfly release will also take place.
Admission to the festival is free, but donations will be gladly accepted.
