Manitoba lawyers and judges will leave their comfort zone next week as part of an annual fundraiser production at the Manitoba Theatre Centre.
In partnership with the Manitoba Bar Association, the 2012 community play will run May 2-5 with nightly performances at 7:30 p.m. in the Tom Hendry Warehouse.
In this year’s production of “The Mousetrap,” one of them is a killer. When a heavy snowfall strands a group of travellers at Monkswell Manor, they’re shocked to learn that a murderer is in their midst. As the snow piles up, so does the suspense in this thrilling whodunit by mystery master Agatha Christie.
The yearly fundraiser for MTC has raised more than $800,000 since 1990. Tickets are $95, and include a post-show wine and food reception with a partial tax receipt. Tickets are available at the MTC box office by calling (204) 942-6537 or online.
