Retailers to Get Updated Anti-Fraud Protection

An updated anti-fraud training program for retailers will be launched this morning by the Bank of Canada.

Police Week will see new anti-fraud measures rolled out across the country, including in Winnipeg, where Interac, the Winnipeg Police Service, RCMP and other agencies will gather at Polo Park Shopping Centre today.

“Fight Fraud on the Front Lines” provides retailers with advice and valuable information about how to protect themselves against four types of payment fraud: bank note counterfeiting, debit card, cheques, and identity theft.
