The public will have a chance to weigh in on the federal government’s decision to close the Experimental Lakes Area research tonight.
The Green Action Centre is holding a public meeting to discuss the issue at Unitarian Universalist Church, 603 Wellington Crescent.
The forum will address the importance of preserving the internationally renowned research facility at the Experimental Lakes Area, which is currently under threat of closure. Three scientists and a graduate student will speak. Questions and brief comments from the public are welcome.
The event is free and begins at 7 p.m.
