What’s Open and Closed on the August Long Weekend

Shopping Centres
St. Vital Centre — 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Polo Park — 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Kildonan Place — 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Grant Park — 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Liquor Marts
All Liquor Marts will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the exception of cityplace and Steinbach, which will be closed.

City of Winnipeg civic offices
Closed on Monday, August 6.

Recycling/Garbage Collection
Single-family homes — for residents that are already receiving automated collection services for both garbage and recycling carts, collection will continue as noted on the calendar provided with the new carts. For all other residents, there will be no recycling or garbage collection on Monday, August 6. Collection will resume on Tuesday, August 7 — Day 1 on the five-day cycle.

Multi-family apartments
Recycling and garbage collection will continue as normally scheduled.

Brady Road Landfill
5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 6. Regular weekend hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Winnipeg Transit
Will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday, August 6.

Closed on Monday, August 6.

Leisure Centres
Closed on Monday, August 6. Regular hours of operation for Leisure Centres are in effect for Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5.

Swimming Pools
All City of Winnipeg indoor swimming pools will be closed on Monday, August 6. Outdoor pools will be open on Monday, August 6. Operating hours vary by pool. For wading pool and spray pad hours and locations, call 311.

Animal Services Agency
Closed on Monday, August 6.

Cemetery grounds at Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona Cemeteries will be open for visitation from dawn to dusk over the holiday weekend including Sunday, August 5 and Monday, August 6.

Golf Courses
All City of Winnipeg golf courses will be open over the holiday weekend including Sunday, August 5 and Monday, August 6. Reserve a tee time online or call 311.
