Two people died early Sunday after a fire engulfed a residence in Winnipeg Beach.
One of the three occupants in the home on Prospect Street was able to escape. An 18-year-old man is listed in stable condition in a Winnipeg hospital, while the other two people inside the residence are deceased. Their identities haven’t been released.
A damage estimate isn’t yet available, but police say the home is a total loss.
Autopsies on the two deceased will be conducted in Winnipeg at a later date.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
