The Downtown Spirit bus will treat riders to entertainment and activities on-board to celebrate Spirit Week beginning today.
From August 13-17, the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ and Winnipeg Transit will be providing a free shuttle service from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Each ride includes a dynamic assortment of local entertainment, prizes and downtown restaurant coupons. The event is co-sponsored by the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ and Winnipeg Transit.
Over the lunch hour, free entertainment is featured every day of the week from noon to 1 p.m. on four decorated Downtown Spirit buses on routes 1 and 2. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Folklorama performers from around the world are set to share their culture through music on board the bus. On Tuesday and Thursday, various buskers will fill the buses to add a splash of fun and entertainment.
Spirit Week will kickoff at The Forks bus shelter across from the Manitoba Theatre for Young People at 11:30 a.m.
