CTV Winnipeg has quickly begun the search for a crime reporter following the departure of Stacey Ashley.
Ashley announced her career change earlier this week on Twitter by saying, “After seven years reporting, I’m hanging up the microphone. Excited to start in my new role as communications officer for @PembinaTrails.”
The job posting, which went up on Friday, is for a general assignment reporter with a focus on police, judicial and crime issues. Ashley was named CTV’s CrimeWatch reporter in June 2010.
She now takes over for outgoing Pembina Trails communications officer Dale Burgos, who assumed a similar role with the Winnipeg School Division in mid-August.
