Tourism Winnipeg Wins Award for Web-Based Marketing

Tourism Winnipeg has been honoured with a Marketing Canada Award for its dynamic website.

The organization was recently singled out by the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC).

TourismWinnipeg.com saw 100,000 monthly page views in 2011, with a large spike in 2012 averaging 250,000 views per month so far.

“This acknowledgment highlights the many distinguishing elements our city offers visitors and residents alike,” said Marina R. James, president and CEO of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc.

“Accolades like this demonstrate that our organization remains at the forefront of the destination marketing profession as we continue to champion a compelling business model that maximizes tourism in Winnipeg.”

The 44th annual competition attracted 160 submissions from across Canada this year.
