School bus service in Winnipeg wasn’t running Friday morning due to the bitterly cold temperatures.
All city school divisions issued notices informing parents and students that buses wouldn’t be running as the wind chill made it feel like -45°C outside. Schools, however, were operating as usual.
Parents are urged to keep an eye on the website of their child’s school division, or corresponding Twitter account for further information throughout the day.
By 9:30 a.m., it was -31°C with a high of -23°C predicted.
