One woman was sent to hospital with serious injuries on Friday after a two-vehicle crash on the north Perimeter Highway.
RCMP say it happened just before 10 a.m. west of Highway 6. The woman, who was driving a Toyota sedan westbound, collided with a utility truck that was stopped on the shoulder of the highway.
The man driving the truck wasn’t injured and no other vehicles were involved.
The highway reopened to westbound traffic shortly before noon.
UPDATE: Tuesday, February 12 — The 40-year-old Gimli woman has since succumbed to her injuries. Her name isn’t being released. No charges are expected to be laid.
