Downtown will be sizzling soon as the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ turns up the heat on an array of summer events.
The BIZ is planning yoga, zumba, and summer concerts to give people a reason to visit the heart of our city more often.
The BIZ’s free Out to Lunch summer concert series kicks off today at noon and continues every Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. until August 7 at Air Canada Park (355 Portage Avenue).
The Spring Busk Off begins Friday at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., where artisans and musicians will compete for cash prizes along Portage Avenue.
Fitness in the Park is already underway and will run until August 29 at Millennium Library Park (Monday) and Memorial Park (Thursday) every Monday and Thursday at noon until 12:45 p.m.
Back for a second year, Zumba, the Latin dance inspired fitness craze, will be held every Tuesday and Friday from now to August 30 from noon until 12:45 p.m. at Memorial Park (Tuesday) and Millennium Library Park (Friday). In the event of rain, yoga and zumba will be cancelled.
