The University of Manitoba Bisons and University of Winnipeg Wesmen are looking ahead to the start of the 2013 Canada West soccer season.
Both teams have released their individual schedules, which sees the Bison women kick off the season at home against Saskatchewan on Friday, September 6.
The Bison women’s soccer conference schedule has a 12-game slate with 13 teams in one division and eight teams qualify for the playoffs.
After the season home opener, Manitoba plays host to Regina on Saturday, September 7 at 3 p.m. CT. The Bisons then embark on their first road trip as they play at Calgary on September 14, and at Lethbridge on September 15.
The Wesmen — who begin their second soccer season in the CIS — start with the men’s team in Saskatoon on Saturday, August 31 against the Saskatchewan Huskies. The women’s team will start their season on home turf against the Regina Cougars on Friday, September 6 at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex.
