A Boeing B-17 strategic bomber will be visiting the Western Canada Aviation Museum later this summer.

Sentimental Journey, a four-engine heavy bomber aircraft developed in the 1930s for the United States Army Air Corps, will be on display from August 12-18 for Winnipeg aviation lovers.

Visitors will be able to see the plane’s unique nose art featuring Betty Grable, see how it operates and talk to the crew.

The aircraft is currently owned by the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.

Admission is $5. For those aviation buffs who want a greater experience, you can book a ride in the aircraft.

The museum is also looking for volunteers to assist with the plane’s visit. Anyone interested can call (204) 786-5503, ext. 236
