Take Pride Winnipeg! is sprucing up an Osborne Village street corner today.
Green Wave summer staff are painting over graffiti at the Gas Station Theatre on River Avenue until noon.
“The graffiti paint-out is the second special project for the organization’s Green Wave program. The first project involved painting a park building and benches at Machray Park,” said Take Pride executive director Tom Ethans.
It’s the eight season the Green Wave program has been carried out, which employes 16 youth aged 16 to 19 over the summer. The “Green Wavers,” as they’re called, may be involved in activities such as litter pickup, graffiti removal, planter maintenance and park restoration.
