The largest drive-thru light show in the province illuminates tonight at Red River Exhibition Park.
Canad Inns Winter Wonderland is a 2.5 kilometre route where visitors can enjoy more than one million lights in 26 different themed lit areas from the comfort of their vehicle from December 6 to January 4, 2014.
“It’s a special time around here at Christmas and we’re always pleased when Winnipeg families make Canad Inns Winter Wonderland one of their annual holiday destinations,” said Garth Rogerson, Red River Exhibition CEO.
Visitors to the 14th annual event also have the opportunity to purchase a Christmas tree from the Optimist Club of South Winnipeg in support of Camp Manitou and the youth activities held there.
Tickets to Winter Wonderland are $10 per vehicle in advance at any Canad Inns Winnipeg location, Red River Co-op or Mac’s convenience store. Tickets are $15 at the gate for up to seven people. Lights are on daily from 6-10 p.m., excluding Christmas Day.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to KidSport Manitoba, the Winnipeg Military Family Resource Centre and the Red River Exhibition Foundation.
