All it took was some mild weather to entice Winnipeggers to head outdoors over the weekend.
After a brutal cold snap in early January, Mother Nature warmed up on Sunday in time for Snow Trek at FortWhyte Alive.
The annual event, in conjunction with Winnipeg in Motion, offered free admission to the recreation park allowing people to try out cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skating and tobogganing. In the off chance 1°C wasn’t warm enough for some, a nearby campfire and hot chocolate would have warmed your insides.
Monday is shaping up to be a mix of sun and cloud with high of -11°C.
