‘Food Matters’ Recognized with National Award

Food Matters ManitobaFood Matters Manitoba has won the Tides Top 10 award, honouring the charity’s innovative social change efforts.

The national award, given out by Tides Canada, recognizes the organization for working with northerners, newcomers, farmers and families on over 35 projects, in more than 50 communities in Manitoba.

“Our Tides Top 10 award is an opportunity to shine the spotlight on some of Canada’s most innovative social and environmental initiatives,” said Ross McMillan, president and CEO of Tides Canada. “Each of this year’s recipients has demonstrated innovation, creativity and impact while working at the intersection of social, ecological and economic considerations. We’re pleased to recognize and celebrate their collective dedication to social change.”

Food Matters Manitoba shares in its award with nine other organizations, including Oxfam Canada and The Stop.
