RRC Signs MOU to Benefit Metis Students in Manitoba

Red River CollegeRed River College has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to improve opportunities and outcomes for Metis students in Manitoba.

The college signed the MOU with the Manitoba Metis Federation and Louis Riel Institute on Friday to create a joint working group with representatives from all three organizations.

The agreement will focus on education, business and growing industry partnerships to increase economic prospects for Metis people living in the province.

In addition to the signing of the MOU, establishment of a $400,000 bursary for Metis students was made possible through an investment of $200,000 by the MMF and matched by Red River College through the Manitoba Scholarship Bursary Initiative.
