The 8th annual Monarch Butterfly Festival is Sunday at the Living Prairie Museum.
The free family event will include butterfly-themed crafts, face painting, and live monarch butterflies on display from noon to 4 p.m.
Storyteller Joe McLellan will share the story of “Nanabosho and the Butterflies,” and presentations from local scientists will teach you about insects, how to identify pollinators, and why butterflies have those brightly-coloured wings.
The Living Prairie Museum is located at 2795 Ness Avenue. Admission is free.
