Lost an item in Winnipeg? You may find it on Pinterest.

The Winnipeg Police Service has created a #FoundInWpg Pinterest board to help pair lost items back with their owners.

Police say they regularly receive lost property such as keys, wallets, cell phones and jewelry. Their hope is that by placing photographs and descriptions with the lost items online, the rightful owners will claim them.

Those who see an item of theirs can send an e-mail to the address on the board and quote the file number.

Police policy is to hold on to an item for 90 days.
