What’s Open and Closed on Remembrance Day

Kildonan Place — 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
St. Vital Centre — 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Polo Park — 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Manitoba Liquor Marts
All Manitoba Liquor Marts will be open from 1 p.m. until regular closing hours on Remembrance Day, with the exception of cityplace which will be closed for the day and Brandon West End Express which will close early at 9 p.m.

Casinos of Winnipeg (Club Regent and McPhillips Station Casino)
Open at 1 p.m.

Assiniboine Park Zoo
Open 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Manitoba Museum
Open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Civic Offices
Closed

Recycling/Garbage Collection
There will be no recycling, garbage or yard waste collection on Remembrance Day for all customers with City collection service (single-family homes, multi-family residential buildings and businesses). Tuesday’s schedule will move to Wednesday, with each following day being bumped to the day after.

Winnipeg Transit
On Tuesday, November 11, Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.

As it has done for years, Winnipeg Transit will once again be observing a moment of silence at 11 a.m. in honour of Remembrance Day. At 11 a.m., transit operators will be pulling over and stopping their buses at safe locations to recognize one minute of silence.

Also in honour of Remembrance Day, the route/destination signs on the front of buses will scroll with the message “Lest We Forget” in addition to the usual route information all day on November 11.

Leisure Centres
All Leisure Centres will be closed on Tuesday, November 11.

Swimming Pools
All City of Winnipeg indoor swimming pools will be closed on Tuesday, November 11 with the exception of Pan Am Pool and Fitness Complex and the Cindy Klassen Recreation and Fitness Complex. Pan Am Pool will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the Cindy Klassen Recreation and Fitness Complex will be open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Libraries
All Winnipeg Public Libraries will be closed on Tuesday, November 11.

Animal Services Agency
The Animal Services Agency will be closed on Tuesday, November 11.

Cemeteries
Cemetery grounds at Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona Cemeteries will be open for visitation from 8 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Remembrance Day. Cemetery offices will be closed.

Winnipeg Parking Authority
Offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11.
