Woman’s Sudden Death Not Considered a Homicide

Winnipeg Police CrestThe sudden death of an 18-year-old woman Saturday is not considered a homicide, Winnipeg police say.

The woman was found unresponsive in the 100 block of Lorne Avenue at around 1:10 a.m.

Police say an altercation had ensued, sending the victim to hospital in critical condition, where she later died.

An autopsy completed Saturday afternoon found the cause of death to be medically-related. No criminal charges are being pursued at this time.
