A school in St. Norbert is receiving a hefty renovation to add additional classrooms to support smaller class sizes.
The Manitoba government is funding the renovation to École Noël Ritchot, which will also include a new gymnasium, music room, washrooms and a changing room.
“We’re excited to expand this school, so students here can get the attention they need in smaller classes as the community continues to grow and families can have access to high-quality, affordable child care,” Premier Greg Selinger said.
The expansion will add nearly 30,000 square feet to the school and nearly 9,000 square feet of the existing structure will be renovated.
Renovations will also see two new kindergarten classrooms, five new grade-school classrooms and a classroom for an early childhood centre.
