A 24-year-old man from Norway House was killed Monday while walking on a roadway in the community.
Manitoba RCMP say the man was struck by a SUV at around 11:30 p.m. on Paupanekis Point Road.
The vehicle was travelling southbound at the time when it collided with the pedestrian. He was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The 41-year-old Norway House woman driving the vehicle wasn’t injured, but alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
RCMP are continuing to investigate.
