Passenger traffic and airport revenue at Winnipeg’s James Richardson International Airport were both up in the second quarter of this year.
Winnipeg Airports Authority says traffic increased 4.28 percent and consolidated revenue soared to $26.9 million, compared to $24.2 million in the same period last year.
Earnings before interest, depreciation and taxes were $13.7 million, compared to $11.4 million for the same period in 2014.
“We are proud to serve our community by working with partners to provide new travel options and helping create new jobs for Manitobans,” said Barry Rempel, president and CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority.
“Growth and development on the airport campus positively impacts our local economy.”
