Canada’s military personnel and veterans will be able visit Assiniboine Park Zoo for free during Remembrance Week.
The zoo is waiving admission for military men and women from Sunday, November 8 to Saturday, November 14.
“Having served as an army reserve veterinarian, I’ve seen the sacrifice and dedication of the brave men and women firsthand,” said Dr. Brian Joseph, senior director, animal management and conservation for the Assiniboine Park Conservancy.
“It’s important to take a moment to thank those who have served for their service and to appreciate their contributions.”
Poppies purchased at the zoo’a entrance during the week will see their proceeds donated to the Charleswood branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.
