A new smartphone app will better connect those living in the RM of Portage la Prairie with their municipal government.
“Connect” will allow residents to submit and track public service requests, receive alert push notifications to their smartphones, view council agendas and meeting decisions, and access local notices.
“This is all about running our municipality in a more efficient and effective manner,” said Reeve Kam Blight. “By taking advantage of new mobile technologies we can provide greater access to our activities and services.”
The app was developed by All-Net, the same company who has developed similar apps for other rural municipalities across Manitoba.
