Manitoba Teen Charged After ‘Test Driving’ Car at 190 km/h

RCMP Crest LogoOn a day when most drivers would be taking precautions on the roads in inclement weather, one Manitoba teen decided to test drive his new car at dangerous speeds.

RCMP say the 18-year-old was caught Thursday travelling 190 km/h on Highway 1. Besides being charged with speeding and dangerous driving, the driver also faces a $1,228.75 fine.

Police say the teen tried to explain he was testing out his new vehicle.

“There are no excuses,” RCMP wrote in a tweet.

“Slow down.”
