New menu options for Winnipeggers calling 311 will better improve service and route calls to their designated departments.
Calls regarding Winnipeg Transit, Assessment and Taxation, or Animal Services will be directed to 311 operators specializing in such areas.
“We are making changes to 311 services as part of the City of Winnipeg’s efforts to provide an even better level of service to our residents,” said Rica Mangahas, manager of the 311 Contact Centre.
“Our hope is that these changes will decrease wait times and provide residents with more efficient and accurate information.”
Callers looking for more detailed Winnipeg Transit route-planning information can still speak to a customer service representative if what they need to know isn’t available through the self-service TeleBUS system.
