The Winnipeg Goldeyes have re-signed right-handed pitcher Edwin Carl to the 2016 roster.
Carl was 6-1 with a 2.10 ERA for the Goldeyes last year in seven starts and one relief appearance.
“He was fantastic last year when he joined us, and I’m hopeful that he can pick up where he left off,” said Goldeyes’ manager Rick Forney.
“Edwin works extremely hard, and competes as well as any starter that we have ever had in Winnipeg. I’m looking forward to watching him pitch every fifth day.”
The Farmington, New Mexico native struck out 62, walked 14, and allowed only three home runs over 55.2 innings pitched.
The Goldeyes now have 21 players under contract for the 2016 season.
