WINNIPEG — Prepare to squeal at all the cuteness on display at Assiniboine Park Zoo this weekend.

New baby animals are now out for visitors to see, including baby reindeer and yaks, as well as a newborn musk ox.

“It’s a very exciting time of year at the Zoo with so many baby animals and new attractions for our visitors to enjoy,” said Gary Lunsford, head, of zoological operations at Assiniboine Park Zoo.

“The babies are healthy and growing fast and Rupert (a harbour seal) is enjoying his new home.”

The six-foot-long male seal comes to Winnipeg from the New Brunswick Aquarium and currently weighs around 87 kg.

The Assiniboine Park Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
