Shots Fired at Manitoba Convenience Store Owner in Botched Robbery

RCMP Logo VehicleA convenience store owner in the RM of Argyle was shot at while chasing three suspects who tried to steal liquor last Sunday.

Manitoba RCMP say it happened just after 10 a.m. The owner was confronted by three males before they fled in a vehicle when they failed to make off with any booze.

While being pursued, the vehicle stopped and several shots were fired at the store owner. He wasn’t injured and was able to make it to safety.

A 19-year-old man from the RM of Argyle and a 13-year-old boy from Sandy Bay First Nation were arrested and charged with firearms-related offences.

Police are still looking for the third suspect.
