Selkirk Golf Course Vandalized
RCMP are on the hunt for whoever decided it would be a good idea to drive an off-road vehicle across a “green” and other grassed areas at Selkirk Golf and Country Club.

As you can see from the photo, the damage is quite extensive and has been pegged at $5,000.
The damage occurred sometime during the evening of October 6 and the early morning of October 7.
If you have information regarding this crime please contact the Selkirk RCMP Detachment at (204) 482-3322 or Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

No tears from me. Golf courses are not eco-friendly, and quite frankly, a waste of space. The amount of land they take up, compared with the number of people allowed to enjoy the green space is really a crime (seems someone enjoyed this one a little too much!).
If voted Mayor, I would ban ALL golf courses from City limits, and convert them into low-income housing areas.

Why is the guy in the background (top right) also purple? Was he sleeping on the course at the time the vandalism occurred?

The colours were a little off in the photo the RCMP sent. After compressing it down to size for the web, they got even worse.
