Climate Action Rally on Saturday

Saturday marks the Global Day of Action on Climate Change. Organizers have planned a rally at the Manitoba Legislature at 1:30 p.m., which will include a speech by climate expert Dr. Danny Blair, music, and hopefully an audio link to Ottawa’s similar event called “Fill the Hill.” The group will then walk to the site of the future Canadian Museum for Human Rights at The Forks for a photo op.
The rally is organized by the website 350.org, which stands for the number scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
The group says their message to Ottawa is simple: Canada must negotiate seriously and constructively in Copenhagen.

What is this a photo of? Certainly not of the rally at the Leg – they could only hope for a portion of this crowd.

It’s from a rally somewhere in the U.S.

Yes. Fact is only 200 showed up at Manitoba Legislature. How many of those were just curiosity seekers – just wanted to see what was going on.
