This is one of the problems with having the Global TV newscast directed from another city on a nightly basis.
Exhibit A:
That’s actually Dr. Joel Kettner, Manitoba’s chief medical officer of health speaking at a news conference Thursday afternoon.
But, because we like the people over there at Global, it’d be fair to mention they did eventually get it right.

Anyone who knows anything about tv production knows that a chyron op can put a key up at the wrong time – whether he’s downstairs, down the street or across the country. It’s a mistake. CBC just put up a key that read “IKEA Devlopment” – an obvious spelling error. And their control room is in the same building.
